I bought this in December of 2002, and I'm proud to finally own a copy. This book details the early days of the war after the Union's stinging defeat at First Bull Run. The disaster (or resounding victory, depending how you look at it) at Ball's Bluff is covered in one chapter, and then the scene shifts to McClellan's plan for 1862. The Peninsula Campaign up to and including Seven Pines is included. I highly recommend this one. 176 pages, many illustrations and maps
