There is one more for your list of CW blogs: The American Civil War 150 Years Ago Today: A no-frills day-by-day account of what was happening 150 years ago, this blog is intended to be a way that we can experience or remember the Civil War with more immediacy, in addition to understanding the flow of time as we live in it.

A daily sampling of life on the field, at home, and major events.

Thanks Randal! I’ve added your blog to the blogroll.

I don’t know if this will qualify for your blog list, but I have a blog based on my gggrandfather’s war diary while in the 12th Indiana Vol Infantry. It’s pretty terse stuff, mostly about the weather, but his unit was part of many significant events starting with Grant’s Mississippi Central Campaign and Vicksburg.

Hi! I just started this blog about my GG Grandfather’s regiment. Would you mind adding it to your list? Thanks.

      Diane,

Absolutely! You have been added. I also run a Siege of Petersburg web site, and have pages for every unit which fought at Petersburg. Here is my 139th Pennsylvania page: http://www.beyondthecrater.com/resources/units/union-u/union-inf/pa-inf/139th-pennsylvania-infantry/ Feel free to use any of the info I’ve collected there on your new blog.

Brett, Have been a longtime fan of your blog. Great information and super easy to navigate. I have had a Civil War blog online for a while, but only recently decided to give it some much needed attention. It focuses on the War in Missouri and Kansas during the Border War years as well as the Civil War years. I would be highly appreciative if you would consider adding it to your list.

    Thanks!
