TOCWOC reader and former contributor Matthew Young passed along word that the National Infantry Foundation in Columbus, GA is hosting a 150th Sesquicentennial Civil War Infantry Symposium on April 11, 2009 from 9 am to 5 pm (click for signup form) at the National Infantry Museum and Soldier Center.
The Symposium features presentations by the following:
- Dr. Donald Stoker: Author of The Grand Design: Strategy and the U.S. Civil War
- Mr. Dave Dameron: Noted biographer of General Henry Benning
- Mr. Richard Barlow Adams: Author of The Parting: A Story of West Point on the Eve of the Civil War
- Mr. Dave Stieghan: Command Historian, US Army Infantry
- Mr. Jeff Reed: Arms Curator, National Infantry Museum
The final day to register is April 2 and seating is limited, so get your registration forms in early!
