I recently received an email from Noah Shunfenthal of American Military University mentioning three new webcasts AMU is producing this month and next. Here’s the information.
The Common Soldier of the Civil War – Tuesday, April 20, 2010 11:00 a.m.—12:00 p.m. ET http://www.amu.apus.edu/lp/webcast/history/civil-war-soldier/
The Battle of Shiloh – Thursday, May 6, 2010 11:00 a.m.—12:00 p.m. ET http://www.amu.apus.edu/lp/webcast/history/civil-war-shiloh/
The Battle of Gettysburg – Tuesday, May 18, 2010 11:00 a.m.—12:00 p.m. ET http://www.amu.apus.edu/lp/webcast/history/civil-war-gettysburg/
In our partnership with the Weider History Group, we aim to produce polished, informative seminars that will feature discussions by great Civil War scholars including: Steven E. Woodworth, Barry J. Shollenberger, and Dana B. Shoaf.
These look to be an interesting new way to share history with students of the Civil War. I encourage TOCWOC readers to go check them out.
I attended an earlier AMU webcast on Discovering the American Civil War Online which I blogged about.
Due to work conflicts, I may only be able to attend the webinar on the Battle of Shiloh on May 6. I hope to see some of you there!
