I have a couple of interesting pieces of news to share with TOCWOC’s readers:
- Eric Wittenberg reports that his new book on The Battle of Brandy Station is out and ready to purchase.
- Osprey Publishing announced that five of its military history books are now available for the first time as ‘freemium’ apps via the Apple e-commerce store. One of the books is on the Battle of Fredericksburg.
- I found quite by accident from a Google email alert on the Petersburg Campaign a “Staff Ride Handbook for the Overland Campaign, Virginia, 4 May to 15 June 1864: A Study in Operational-Level Command“. I’m not sure if there are more of these floating around cyberspace for free. If you know of any let me know as I’d be interested in downloading others as well.
