I just read tonight in the Matrix Games forums that a call has gone out for beta testers for a new game based on the WaW engine. I can only assume that this is the long-awaited (by me, at least) Civil War game based on that engine. If you are interested, check it out. I would, but I’ve already got my hands full with HPS Simulations and MadMinute Games projects. HPS is notoriously close-lipped about new games, but rest assured there are currently ongoing projects, and they’ll cover campaigns not typically seen in wargaming of any sort except for one major battle in one of the campaigns. MadMinute Games tends to be a little more open about future projects. In addition to their next major release on the Shiloh Campaign, MMG’s founders Norb and Adam have hinted at some sort of “expansion pack” for Take Command 2nd Manassas. That’s all I can say for now, but know that both of these companies are alive, well, and dedicated to creating new games.
