   No, thank you for pointing me to some nice PC ACW games, though I am not that fond of wargames on the PC, as I prefer real i.e. miniature wargames (Fire and Fury rules). (It also might have something to do with the fact that manoeuvering PC troops with a mouse is total crap.)

   Edwin,

   I’d like to get into the ACW miniatures and board games as there is a LOT of material out there, but time and money just will not allow it currently. I’ll do my best to keep up with new Civil War games of this type, but if anyone else sees that I’ve missed something in that area, definitely point me in the right direction.

   Actually, there’s quite a lot going on. Two of the big disadvantages of PC games are the crappy interface and the fact that you are stuck with a small screen. Of course I do know of the advantages of PC games: the multi-player thing and the fact there’s always an opponent.

   Miniature games just look great and most rule systems are quite good, like Fire and Fury, or Johnny Reb. There are also some good (and free) rules for naval combat around. What I found interesting was the fact that the game ‘A house Divided’ is released in dutch and for a nice price as well. Rather unique.
