The 1863 Tullahoma Campaign has had very little coverage in books. Sandwiched between the large battles of Stones' River and Chickamauga, this campaign featured no large-scale fighting.

02/26/04 I just
picked up this book on my recent trip to Shiloh. It chronicles the Tullahoma
Campaign of 1863 in which Rosecrans brilliantly and almost bloodlessly
forced Bragg to relinquish control of Chattanooga, Tennessee. This campaign
led directly to the fierce fight along the banks of Chickamauga Creek.
The book is extremely short, and so never really goes into a lot of
detail. Plus, I noticed my copy was missing a bunch of pages in the
back which meant I couldn't take a look at any appendices, the bibliography,
and other information. I don't know if this was a defect with just my
copy, or if that is the way all copies are. If youo are interested in
this prelude to Chickamauga, definitely get the book, but a more definitive
treatment can surely be given. 96 pp., 6 maps
