9/28/02 It has been a while since I read this book, but I highly
recommend it. Your knowledge of the War Between the States cannot be
complete without coverage of the Navies during the war. Everything from
the blockade to the River operations in the west is covered in detail.
This is a must have book. The only disappointing aspect is the lack
of adequate maps. 303 pp., one map
