Antietam: Essays on the 1862 Maryland Campaign |
|
Comments: This is the first of two books in Gary Gallagher's essay book series that cover the batle of Antietam and the Maryland Campaign. Some of the essays include the Battle at Harper's Ferry, McClellan's views on how he fought the battle (he said "splendidly"), and why the AoNV shouldn't have been at Sharpsburg in September of 1862. There aren't many maps, but that is due to the subjects covered in this book. They are all non-tactical in nature. 102 pp., very few maps |
