The Sixth Sense

out of 10

M. Night Shyamalan

Bruce Willis
Haley Joel Osment
Toni Collette

Ah, M. Night Shama-lama-ding-dong. The master of "The Twist". Why do I call him Shama-lama-ding-dong? Because I saw it on a few message boards and thought it was funny. I think he's a pretty good director. I've liked all three of The Sixth Sense, Signs, and The Village. This movie was a smash hit back in 1999, and it is well deserving of that status. I really enjoyed this movie immensely, and I highly recommend it. One word of caution. If you already know "The Twist", you probably will not enjoy it as much. With that said, on to the plot. Bruce Willis is a psychologist who is having trouble with his marriage. His wife doesn't speak to him. He takes on the case of a little boy who sees dead people (Osment). Crowe (Willis) is the boy's only hope, and he tries to help him through his troubles. With Shama-lama-ding-dongs movies it is better to say very little and let the movie speak for itself. This movie is a definite buy. And if you like this, I also recommend Stir of Echoes, which I've seen a few times but haven't gotten around to buying just yet.
