As I said earlier, John Hennessy has a great writing style. I remember getting this book from the History Book Club in the 8th Grade and I could not put it down. This book is the definitive account of the battle. If you can only afford one book on Second Bull Run, this should be your choice. I also love the maps in the book. There is a lot of detail both topographically and unit-wise.
